Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of the Safua website today, and the Safua desktop instructor and credentials once they are live. This is a draft skeleton, not a binding agreement.
Effective date: TODO (pending legal review)
The service
Today, Safua is an early-access marketing website operated by DarkoLab AI Inc. It describes a product in development and lets you join early access.
When live, Safua will include a desktop instructor that teaches and observes your work with your consent, and a proof system that can issue credentials from scored evidence. Those capabilities are not live yet.
Accounts and early access
Legal review requiredYou may join early access by providing an email address. Joining early access does not guarantee access or a particular timeline.
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information.
Acceptable use
Legal review requiredSafua is built to measure and prove genuine capability. You agree not to use it to misrepresent your abilities or to deceive others.
- Do not use Safua to deceive employers, assessors, or anyone relying on a Safua credential.
- Do not attempt to game, falsify, or circumvent scoring, observation, or proof.
- Do not misuse the service, including unlawful use, interference with the service, or unauthorized access.
Integrity and anti-cheating
Legal review requiredProof on Safua reflects what you can do unaided. Assistance is recorded and factored into scoring, and leaning on full solutions reduces the proof credit your work can earn.
Deliberate attempts to obtain a credential that overstates your ability are a breach of these terms and may result in revocation.
Credentials
Legal review requiredOnce live, Safua may issue credentials from scored evidence. A Safua credential reflects observed work at a stated confidence level. It is not a guarantee of employment, and acceptance by any third party is at their discretion.
The full terms for credential issuance, verification, revocation, and disputes will be defined together with the Verification Integrity Specification.
- TODO: issuance criteria and confidence levels (cross-reference the Verification Integrity Spec).
- TODO: verification and public lookup terms.
- TODO: revocation grounds and process.
- TODO: disputes and appeals process.
Intellectual property
Legal review requiredThe Safua name, the website, and the software are owned by DarkoLab AI Inc. and protected by applicable law. We grant you a limited right to use the service as intended.
You retain rights to content you create. The handling of work product and evidence used for proof will be detailed after review.
Disclaimers
Legal review requiredThe service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
Legal review requiredTo the maximum extent permitted by law, DarkoLab AI Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. The full limitation, including any cap, will be set after review.
Governing law
Legal review requiredThese terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Venue and dispute-resolution details will be confirmed after review.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
